We deal with people’s mental well-being from a wide range of disciplines. From that emerged a common ideal: to improve the accessibility of help for mental health problems.
Vision
We want to help Amsterdam residents with mental health problems find care that suits their personal situation. We do this by engaging in discussions in a way that is aimed at recovery, looking at more than just a psychiatric diagnosis or mental healthcare. Care from the social domain may also be needed. In addition, help from experiential experts or other forms of assistance may be appropriate. The added value provided by Wegwijs Amsterdam is that we are in close contact with residents and with mental healthcare provider. Moreover, we are independent and look outside the box of existing offerings in mental healthcare. This allows us to tap into the type of care that residents and those close to them actually need.
Our mission
We want to contribute to optimal utilisation of the range of care options in Amsterdam, so that care will always be available to everyone who needs help. To achieve this, we believe collaboration between the various providers in this healthcare landscape to be essential. We contribute to this by sharing the information we collect from the region with other stakeholders. We also examine the impact of our own efforts and try out new methods that align with our objectives. By doing this, we also want to inspire others and share our knowledge.
